Propex Heater High Altitude Modification Service
Heading up into the mountains? Let's make sure your heater is ready for the climb. Thinner air at high elevation can make a standard Propex heater struggle to light or run cleanly. Our High Altitude Modification tunes your HS series heater to run reliably at elevations up to 10,000 feet, so you can count on clean, dry heat when the temperature drops.
Is this service right for you?
- Yes, if you regularly camp above 7,500 feet or are planning a mountain season.
- Yes, if your heater struggles to light or throws flame failure codes up high.
- Probably not needed if you mostly camp at lower elevations.

Good to know
- What to send: Just the heater unit. Leave the ducting, combustion piping, wiring harness, and thermostat in your rig.
- Local drop-off: You're welcome to drop it off at our shop. Please uninstall the heater before you arrive, since additional hourly service charges may apply if our team needs to assess or remove an installed heater.
- Packaging: Pack your heater carefully with plenty of padding. Mountain Time Campers can't be responsible for damage during inbound shipping, so we recommend adding shipping insurance.
