Our roots are in building and supplying gear for people who actually use it. Today, that means helping people find practical ways to get outside through adventure trailers, camper vans, truck camping systems, electric bikes, and outdoor gear.

Our Roots
A little history goes a long way.
Mountain Time Campers didn't appear out of nowhere. Our story grew from decades of building, manufacturing, working on vans, and helping people create rigs that were meant to live on the road.
The Early Days
Rocky Mountain Westy
Founders Mike and Greg Labate built a reputation for quality parts, creative van builds, and a love of adventure, beginning with a small shop working on Vanagons.
Van Cafe
From Shop to Manufacturing
The business grew from a small Vanagon-focused shop into a full-scale manufacturing operation in Fort Collins, helping van owners, overlanders, and outdoor enthusiasts build rigs designed for the road.
2018
Rocky Mountain Westy Acquires Van Cafe
In 2018, Rocky Mountain Westy acquired Van Cafe, bringing the two sides of the business together while continuing to serve the VW van community.
2021
The Adventure Gets Bigger
Our offerings expanded beyond classic VW vans into modern campers, overland trucks, and adventure trailers.
