Who We Are

Welcome to Mountain Time Camper Co., born in 2025 as the next chapter in outdoor adventure. Our focus is simple: getting you deep into nature, where you can unplug, slow down, and embrace the journey. Because once you step out of the daily grind and into the wild, you’re on Mountain Time.

Our Roots

Our story actually begins with Van Cafe. Back in the early days with Rocky Mountain Westy and later Van Cafe, founders Mike and Greg Labate built a reputation for quality parts, creative van builds, and a love of adventure. From a small shop working on Vanagons to a full-blown manufacturing facility in Fort Collins, Colorado, we’ve spent decades helping van owners, overlanders, and outdoor enthusiasts build rigs that live for the road. In 2018, Rocky Mountain Westy acquired Van Cafe, and by 2021 we expanded our offerings beyond classic VW vans into modern campers, overland trucks, and adventure trailers. Today, Van Cafe remains a trusted name for van parts, conversions, and accessories.

Why the Evolution

As our community grew — from VW Vanagons to rooftop tents, truck campers to trailers — we realized our vision was broader than just vans. The spirit of adventure we share doesn’t stop at the van door. So we created Mountain Time Camper Co. to serve all those who want to slow down, roam far, and enjoy the build as much as the destination.

• Community first. Our team is campers, builders, hunters, and road-trippers. We've been out at sunrise snapping photos - we want to help you get out and enjoy it all. We build gear that speaks the same language.
